The city manager's office reports that the 9th Avenue SE widening project is nearly complete with only minor punchlist items remaining next week. The paving was completed on June 23rd, the contractor finished up the landscaping and signage work during the week, and the roadway was striped on Thursday. The work to cut new signal detection loops may extend until June 30th depending on progress around the traffic flow.
Citywide Traffic Calming Proceeds
25-MPH speed limit markings were installed on the pavement on Seattle Hill Road, and work began on the new guardrail and sidewalk relocation at the northwest corner of Village Green Drive. The only major item of work remaining is the re-striping of Mill Creek Road going up the hill, which must be coordinated between three different striping crews since it must be completed all at once.
